The Sekani Trail Run is here for all ages and abilities to encourage you to be active, keep up your training, enjoy the outdoors all while helping to fund the Franklin Elementary School A.P.P.L.E program.

The Sekani Trail Run is a 5k / 10k event (plus a free Kids’ 1k) located at Spokane’s beautiful Minnehaha Park, bordering the 125 acre natural area of Camp Sekani Park. The run is an adventure run/hike/walk race with 100% dirt trails and fabulous course challenges with ~700 feet of elevation gain for the 10k run! The trails run above the Spokane River and provide great views of the City of Spokane and surrounding areas. This is a great event for both experienced trail runners and those just getting into trail running.

The Sekani Trail Run is one of the primary fundraisers for the Franklin Elementary A.P.P.L.E. program and is completely staffed by volunteers. 100% of the funds raised go to benefit the Franklin Elementary School’s APPLE program.

The race location has changed for 2025: 
Sekani Trail Run will begin and end at Minnehaha Park, due to construction at the Camp Sekani parking lot.
